Ah, the social media and 
Facebook reminders
	the little notices

That pop up from
	time to time.

Noting this or that
	significant date.

Anniversary, a celebration,
	a birthday.

Up they popped today
	for two friends

One of whom was close,
	the other charming

And both now gone,
	one recently

The other same time
	past,

Both leaving aching
	widows.

Do I call the wives
	to let them know

That I saw the notice
	and that I’m sorry?
