Not Ready
Rosh HaShanah approaches. I am not ready. This Year, I am not ready. It is still that dark day: Ravagers raging, Borders blasted, That holiday violated. I have not left that day Though I have aged more than A year since that date Less than a year ago. I am not ready although I will be, still shocked, In shul to mark A not quite fresh year. We will sing the prayers, Heavy hearted, To ask the Shepard To protect his flock. This not quite fresh year.
